American culture is very strange in that it is entirely borrowed from other people. In the words of Brad Paisley: "You know, everyone has something they're known for, but it usually washes up our shores."
If you don't know who Brad Paisley is, cut back on the Bieber for once and listen to some real music.
Language

Thanksgiving
null
One of America's oldest traditions is the holiday of Thanksgiving. Started by the Pilgrims in 1621, it is a holiday to give thanks for everything you have. It has been a national holiday since 1863. It is one of America's favorite holidays, because if you can say anything about Americans, it's that we looooove to eat.
Christmas
Another classic American holiday is Christmas. Most Americans participate in a Holiday in December, whether it be Hannukah, Kwanza or Christmas, but Christmas is the most popular.
American children love nothing better than knowing that an old fat man who "sees them when they're sleeping and knows when they're awake" sneaks down their chimney into their house every year and eats their cookies and milk and leaves "presents" before he leaves on a sled powered by reindeer and to also know that their parents are perfectly okay with this.
4th of July
Even the Commiest of Commies can't refrain from gawking in awe at the patriotic fireworks of 4th of July. (Well, fireworks did come from China...)
Because nothing says 'America' like a major fire hazard in the middle of Summer.
Baseball
Called 'the American pastime", baseball is a precious part of American culture. Often American families come together to watch their favorite teams play; but of course, SOME teams are better than OTHERS.
At least the Rangers pitcher can wash his freaking hair.
Football
FOOTBALL. IT'S INTENSE.
FOOTBALL!!!11!!! YEAH!!11
